Paraboloid (Pt. 1) is the new album with which Ivory Times, complete with new drummer Daniele Cocco, wants to officially join the international metal scene. Thanks to a use of different arrangements and some groove upgrades, the five tracks of Paraboloid are rich in quality and nuanced features dedicated to the most attentive and prepared listeners.
Starting with the title of the album with the title track, these new tracks have a strong link with the groups origin, in fact the Paraboloid is a historical symbol of work, located in the center of Casale Monferrato, birth city of the band. Another track, Fabbrica degli Angeli is dedicated to the victims of a known asbestos factory in the city, and then there are two songs, Hatred and Falsehood, that follow the concept of social decline, a theme that was already started on the previous album Suicide World. Also featured is a track dedicated to the fantastic TV series “Stranger Things”. On this one, the band wanted to analyze the motivations of the story told in the show, namely “the desire of man to try to replace god with genetic testing, etc”.
The vocal lines have been enriched by the vocals of Tiziano Spigno (of Lucky Bastardz and Kings Of Broadway) who has also helped and supervised with the lead voices.
Paraboloid was recorded at Frequenze Studio by Andrea Ravasio. Mixed and Mastered by Ivory Times. Artwork by Davide Benzi.
